Damien, Serge and Charles have recently returned from Nairobi where they represented the GRC at Intersolar Africa 2026. Through our dedicated panel session and wider engagement over the two days, this was an excellent opportunity to engage a wider international network with the renewable energy sectors of Malawi, Rwanda and Zambia.

Intersolar Africa is a major B2B platform for the solar and energy storage industry in East Africa. Held in Nairobi, Kenya, it aims to bridge the gap between international technology providers and local stakeholders – including developers, investors, and policymakers – to accelerate the continent’s clean energy transition.
Covering the entire solar value chain, from photovoltaics (PV) and smart grids to large-scale energy storage and e-mobility solutions. The 2026 edition was hosted at the Sarit Expo Centre, attracting over 3,000 trade visitors and 100+ exhibitors from across the globe.
Highlights from the 2026 Event:
- Focus on Financing: Specialized sessions dedicated to de-risking solar investments and navigating renewable energy project finance in Africa.
- Off-Grid Innovation: Showcasing advanced battery storage and microgrid technologies designed specifically for rural electrification.
- Networking Hub: High-level matchmaking events connecting EPC contractors with government utility representatives to discuss grid-integration projects.
- Policy Dialogue: A central conference track featuring East African energy ministers discussing harmonized regulatory frameworks for cross-border energy trade.
